Wheelers News

Well done to Odhran Stynes and Brendan Wright who competed in the Brennan’s Hotels Youth 2 Day races hosted by the South East Road Club.

Although out of the medals, Odhran completed the full event against top opposition from all over the country.

Brendan took part in the time trial and criterium. A fantastic achievement as he had only joined the club and taken part in Sunday spins in the last two weeks. Definitely one to watch for the future.

Luke Maguire is competing in the Junior Tour of Ireland riding in the Cycling Leinster colours. The race appears to have a high dropout rate but he is going well. Daily results, reports and pictures can be seen on www.irishcycling.com. Hopefully Nico meeting Luke and Andrew last week will inspire to go well when Le Tour reaches the Alps next week.

The Bike Shop League will commence on Thursday 21st July. Racing will start at 7pm on the Camross circuit with start/finish at Camross Hall.
There will be six races with the best four results counting. There will be racing for A1, A2, A3, A4, tourers and underage.

Next Sunday 24th sees the St Lukes 100km Charity Sportive, Ferns, Co Wexford. Great route, great cause! More details on www.slaneycyclingclub.com.
